Learn About Endometriosis Through Clinical Cases:
From Diagnosis to Treatmento

Designed for radiologists, gynecologists, and healthcare professionals interested in endometriosis.

Transform your practice with a course based on real clinical cases. Learn how to make accurate diagnoses by correlating imaging findings with surgical outcomes.

About the Course

In this course, you’ll deepen your understanding of endometriosis through detailed clinical cases, exploring both diagnosis and treatment.

We’ll cover classic presentations and less common scenarios, diving into case studies that reflect the day-to-day reality of healthcare professionals.

Each case begins with anamnesis and physical exam findings, highlighting key points.
Dr. Alice Brandão provides a detailed analysis of preoperative MRI findings (with questions and participation from Dr. Marco Aurélio P. de Oliveira).

Then, Dr. Marco Aurélio presents the surgery, emphasizing correlations with the imaging, along with brief commentary on pelvic anatomy and surgical strategies.

What You Will Learn

Sharpen Clinical Reasoning

Connect clinical presentations with diagnostic findings.

Accurate MRI Diagnosis

Master MRI interpretation for faster, more effective endometriosis diagnosis.

MRI–Surgery Correlation

Enhance diagnostic accuracy by comparing MRI images with intraoperative findings.

Personalized Treatment Planning

Refine your decision-making and surgical techniques through video-laparoscopic and robotic surgery cases.

Endometriosis Mapping by Compartments

Learn how to identify structures of the lateral compartment via both MRI and surgery.

Meet the Professors

Prof. Marco Aurelio P. de Oliveira

With over 30 years dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, Dr. Marco Aurélio P. de Oliveira is a recognized leader in the field. His career has been defined by scientific contributions that have shaped the modern understanding and management of this complex disease.

From early in his career, Dr. Marco Aurélio recognized endometriosis as a major challenge in women’s health. His involvement in cutting-edge research has led to numerous publications that advanced the field. In addition to his scientific work, he plays a key role in training the next generation of physicians.

Through courses, workshops, and lectures, he shares not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on experience, particularly in minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.

Joining this course is more than professional development—it’s an opportunity to connect with a community committed to improving the lives of women affected by endometriosis.

Prof. Alice Brandão

With a strong background in radiology and MRI, Dr. Alice Brandão is a leading authority in imaging diagnosis, particularly in endometriosis. Her career has been driven by a commitment to improving imaging techniques to optimize the diagnosis of this complex and often elusive condition.

Dr. Alice has played a central role in developing MRI protocols specifically for endometriosis. Her pioneering work has improved early detection and deepened the understanding of the disease’s extent and characteristics.

Dedicated to medical education, she shares her expertise through courses, seminars, and mentorships, equipping healthcare professionals to use MRI effectively in diagnosing endometriosis. She emphasizes the importance of precise imaging for successful therapeutic planning.

Participants will gain invaluable insights and practical techniques that can transform their clinical practice and significantly improve patient care.

MRI Atlas in Deep Endometriosis – 10 Years!

In 2014, Dr. Alice Brandão, Dr. Marco Aurélio P. de Oliveira, and Dr. Claudio Crispi co-authored a comprehensive MRI–laparoscopy correlation atlas for deep endometriosis. Used as a reference worldwide, it was released in Spanish in 2016 and in English in 2018.

It was the first reference to systematize endometriosis by pelvic compartments and to highlight lateral compartment lesions.
